History After Dark: Uncover the Mystery at the Shay Works Museum
Join us for an evening of history, dining, and intrigue at our first-ever History Mystery Dinner. Guests will step back to 1905, when Harbor Springs’ famed resident, Ephraim Shay hosts a dinner in his Main Street home. But as the evening unfolds, unexpected visitors and startling events draw guests into a mystery that only they can help unravel.
A troupe of actors portraying Harbor Springs residents from 1905 will host the evening, guiding guests through the unfolding mystery. Characters such as Ephraim Shay, his son Mayor Lette Shay, and other familiar figures from the community will share stories drawn from Harbor Springs’ past while enlisting the audience’s help to untangle clues. This interactive format invites guests to actively participate in the evening, blending entertainment with opportunities to learn more about local history in an engaging, memorable way.
The night includes a three-course, historically inspired fall menu (listed below), with tickets priced at $150 per person or $175 including two drinks. Businesses or individuals may also sponsor the event by purchasing a table of eight for $1,600, which includes recognition as an event sponsor and four bottles of wine for the table.
