Snow Days and Sleigh Bells: Winter in Harbor Springs

Dec 4, 2025 - Dec 4, 2025
5:30 pm - 7:00 pm
Location: History Museum

Warm up with a cup of hot chocolate and join the Historical Society for a cozy stroll through Harbor Springs winters of the past. This delightful presentation with curator Beth Wemigwase will showcase rare photographs from the Historical Society’s archives and share stories of cherished local traditions — from sledding down Bull Moose Hill to ice boating on the bay, and the first municipal Christmas tree lighting.

This year, the society will also have a small pop-up display of holiday and winter themed artifacts from the collection in our special exhibit gallery! We recommend guests arrive early to view the display, which will be up for several weeks between Thanksgiving and the New Year.

Experience the nostalgia of winters gone by and discover how our community has celebrated the winter season for generations. Don’t miss this engaging and heartwarming program! Held on the second floor of the Harbor Springs History Museum. Advanced registration is encouraged and tickets are $15. Coffee, hot chocolate and cookies will be served.
