Blessing of the Fleet - Journey on a Jiimaan

Free display and hands-on jiimaan (canoe) rides out on the water aboard handcrafted birch bark canoes with Anishnaabe tales of life on the Great Lakes presented by Odawa elders and youth. Rides take place throughout the day between 11 am and 3 pm and last around twenty minutes. While you wait for your turn, explore a pop-up exhibit about birchbark canoes.

Registration for rides is strongly encouraged. Use this link to register in advance. A small number of walk on spots will be available.
