Summer in Harbor Springs is unparalleled with its clean crisp air, sandy beaches and million dollar sunsets. This summer, the Harbor Springs Area Historical Society and the Harbor Springs Area Chamber of Commerce invite you to celebrate our finest season at the inaugural Summer White Party in Zorn Park on Saturday, August 4, from 4 – 7 p.m.

The green space at Zorn Park will be transformed into a vivacious summer soiree with a carte du jour and décor to match. Chef John Ruemenapp has prepared a special menu that will tantalize taste buds and delight the senses. These wonderful selections feature special local foods that are also unique area favorites. Every guest will receive a souvenir glass, which may be filled with a signature cocktail prepared just for this special evening.

Guests, encouraged to dress in white attire, may take a step back in time while they enjoy a game of croquet in the park. The Harbor Springs Area Historical Society will also provide historical information about this unique community, setting the stage for party-goers to celebrate the elegant traditions of Harbor Springs.

An exciting element of this fundraiser is the chance to win one of six fantastic prizes. Tickets will be sold the night of the party, and for $20 guests will receive three tickets to place in the jar in front of the item they hope to win. Several lucky people will have their ticket drawn for each of these fantastic prizes: 1) Two-night stay for two adults at the Grand Hotel, 2) Spa package from Boyne Resorts, 3) Pearl suite from Elizabeth Blair Fine Pearls, 4) Paddleboard and paddle from the Outfitter, 5) Baskets of white wine and spirits and 6) Complete set of six Virgil Haynes lithographs from the Historical Society.

In addition to raising funds for the Harbor Springs Area Chamber of Commerce, the Summer White Party will also benefit the Harbor Springs Area Historical Society. “We are excited to partner with the Chamber of Commerce in support of this event. It stands at the heart of our mission to celebrate our histories and traditions within this special place,” notes Mary Cummings, executive director of the Harbor Springs Area Historical Society.
