Volunteer Training Session Print
Tuesday, June 22 2010, 1:00pm - 2:00pm

The Harbor Springs Area Historical Society invites you to join its growing volunteer team. From welcoming museum visitors to helping with special events, the Historical Society has a number of volunteer opportunities to match your interests.

A volunteer orientation session will take place Tuesday, June 22, at 1:00 pm at the Harbor Springs History Museum, 349 E. Main Street. The meeting is geared toward all volunteers—new and returning. We will give an update of volunteer needs for the organization and review some of the changes and additions to the museum in recent months.

In addition to our museum greeter positions, the Historical Society is also looking for hospitality volunteers to assist with special events throughout the year. There are also opportunities to assist with newsletter mailings, building maintenance projects, educational programs, collections cataloging and more.

During the volunteer training session you will:
•    Learn more about volunteering with HSAHS
•    Pick up a volunteer application
•    Meet our volunteer coordinators, Laura West and Mary Driggs
•    Meet other HSAHS volunteers

Reservations are encouraged. If you are unable to attend this training session but would like additional information or a volunteer application, please contact Mary Cummings, HSAHS Executive Director at (231) 526-9771.

To learn more about our volunteer opportunities, you may also visit the Char-Em United Way Volunteer Connections website.
